Gensler brought the project to Ion Art for their client, Sonesta Bee Cave. Ion Art sourced a vinyl product that mimics tooled leather to use as the wall covering for the honeycomb shaped elements. The honeycomb shapes are acrylic painted to match antique brass, darkened steel, and antique copper. 6 of the honeycomb components were hogged out and are back-lit with LEDs.
